Buildings & facilities

Video monitoring, access control, networks and sensors as one system, not a collection of devices bought as the need arose. For housing communities, offices and companies that want to know what is happening on site and sleep well about the rules.

The first conversation is free: 30 minutes online, no preparation and no commitment.

Who this is for

Housing communities and property managers

Cameras from three different years, an intercom from another supplier, a gate with a remote nobody can program. Residents ask about recordings, the board does not know who has access to them or whether they may be shown to anyone.

Offices and small companies

Access cards that former employees still have, one Wi‑Fi network for guests and the accounts department, a NAS server under a desk. You need order without an in-house IT department.

Companies with a warehouse, a plant or several sites

You want to see every site in one place: cameras, alarms, temperature, door openings, power failures. Today each site has its own panel and its own password, and the overview is done by phone.

What we usually find

The same problems come up in most buildings we look at:

  • A recorder with the default password and a port open to the internet.
  • Recordings kept longer or shorter than GDPR requires, with no written purpose or period.
  • No monitoring signs, or signs without the required information.
  • Cards and access codes still held by people who no longer have the right to enter.
  • A flat network: cameras, intercom, computers and guests in one segment.
  • A backup of recordings and configuration that nobody has ever restored, or none at all.

Most of these are fixed within days, without replacing equipment. We start with the ones that concern people's safety and compliance, which we also cover under digital compliance.

What we work on

Video monitoring

Camera selection and placement, a recorder or cloud recording, retention in line with the rules, access to recordings only for authorised people and with a log of who viewed them and when.

Access control and intercoms

Cards, codes, an app or a key, one list of permissions for the whole site, access revoked in a minute, an entry log where it is needed and allowed.

Network and sensors

Network segmentation, a separate guest Wi‑Fi, remote access through a tunnel instead of open ports. Temperature, flood, door and power sensors with notifications, and for several sites one panel for all of them, built the way we build cloud systems.

What we have done before

The experience of the founders, who have combined software with electronics and devices for years: from home and office networks built in the 1990s, through high-traffic platforms, to device prototypes and distributed systems.

  • More than 100 machines and dozens of sites run so that each one is isolated and the admin panel sits behind a private tunnel. We apply the same rules to recorders and control units.
  • More than 6 years without a security incident on the platforms we ran.
  • Our own tools for monitoring and managing machines, including panels for several sites at once.
  • Device prototypes on Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers and embedded Linux, with sensors and audio and video streaming; more under R&D & devices.
  • Arduino Day and hardware workshops run in the community for years.

Example: an estate with three systems

A typical starting point and what we build from it. Details are something we discuss in a meeting.

Before

Cameras from one contractor, intercoms from a second, the gate from a third. Recordings on a recorder with the factory password, reachable from the internet. The board does not know how many days are kept or who may watch. No monitoring signs.

After

One network split into segments, the recorder behind a tunnel, a 30-day retention written into the monitoring rules, access to recordings for two people with a log. Intercoms and the gate on one permission list. Signs and the information notice in line with GDPR.

Result

One place where the board sees the state of the site and can revoke access in a minute. Answers to residents' questions about recordings follow a procedure, not memory. Most of the equipment is the same.

Three steps, each one you can stop after

Free consultation

30 minutes online. You tell us what is on site and what does not work. We tell you what can be tidied without replacing equipment, what needs investment and where we would start.

Site audit

Fixed scope and a fixed price agreed before we start. A site visit, an inventory of devices and the network, a check of access, retention and signage. A report with changes ordered by risk and cost, reviewed with the board.

Implementation

Changes in stages: security and compliance first, then tidy access, then new functions and sensors. Each stage has acceptance criteria and a price agreed before it starts.

What the audit covers

  • Inventory: cameras, recorders, intercoms, gates, sensors, network, accounts and passwords, noting what belongs to whom and who has access.
  • Security: internet exposure, passwords, updates, network segmentation, backups of recordings and configuration.
  • Compliance: purpose and retention period of recordings, signs and information notices, a log of access to recordings, rules for sharing them.
  • Plan: a list of changes ordered by risk and cost, marking what can be done on the current equipment.
  • A review with the board or owner and a decision on what to implement next.

This is what a fragment of the report looks like. The figures are illustrative, the layout is real:

The audit also works as a basis for a quote from another contractor: the inventory and the plan stay with you.

What stays on your side

Devices, accounts and configuration belong to the community or the company, not to the contractor. Administrative passwords stay with you; we get access for the duration of the work.

  • An inventory of devices, networks and access, updated with every change.
  • Monitoring rules, information notices and a procedure for sharing recordings, ready to show residents or an inspector.
  • Instructions for the administrator: how to add and revoke access, how to export a recording, what to do after a failure.
  • Optionally ongoing supervision: updates, access and backup reviews in an agreed monthly scope.

Equipment follows the need

We do not sell devices and are not tied to a manufacturer. We choose equipment for the site and the budget, often keeping what already works. Where no ready-made solution exists, such as a sensor for an unusual spot or a panel for several sites, we build it as R&D & devices.

FAQ

Do the cameras have to be replaced?

Usually not. Most problems are configuration, network and rules, not hardware. We suggest replacement when a device no longer gets security updates or cannot be cut off from the internet.

Does monitoring in a housing community need the residents' consent?

It needs a resolution, rules and signage, and recordings must have a defined purpose and period. We help prepare the documents and the procedure for sharing recordings, with a law firm where needed.

Who has access to recordings after the implementation?

Only the people named by the board, each with their own account and a viewing log. We have no standing access to recordings.

Do you work outside Warsaw?

Yes. The audit needs a site visit; the rest of the work is done remotely through a tunnel. For several sites we plan the visits in one round.

How do you charge?

First consultation: free, 30 minutes online. Audit: fixed price. Implementation: stages with acceptance criteria and a price for each stage. Supervision: a monthly scope.

What about data and confidentiality?

We sign a non-disclosure agreement and a data processing agreement before receiving access. Access is personal and revoked when the work ends. How we handle data from the contact form is described in the privacy policy.
